Transformation is rarely a clean arc. Most of the time it feels like breaking apart — the quiet collapse of what you were before anything new has a chance to take shape.

This series captures that suspended moment: the split-second between holding on and letting go, when identity dissolves and something unformed starts to breathe. It is a portrait of change as it actually happens — messy, raw, inevitable, and strangely beautiful. Whether you read it as falling apart or rising again depends on the direction of your own life.

Hung together, the three drawings can be read as a slow collapse from left to right, or as a quiet reconstruction in reverse — the same lines carrying both stories.

In the drawing, the forms thin out and slip toward the margins, mirroring that feeling of being spread too far, in too many directions, to recognise yourself.
